I'm suffering :(
I have a headache. It developed yesterday, which I put down to dehydration because I had been working long and hard, and didn't have much to drink. Before bed it became quite intense, but it didn't stop me sleeping, fortunately.

It was still there when I got up, which is very unusual. I've never had a headache stretch over two days before. Anyway, there you are. Moan over.

1. I'm sorry, billy
 Sinus problem, maybe? That's the only kind of headache I've had that wasn't cured by a night's rest.

3. Me too.
I pulled a muscle in my back... can't move, drive, sit up, lay down without excessive screaming.

19. Sorry about your headache, kid
Actually, the sinus problem thing... Probably true. Hurts like hell and you wish it would stop only it doesn't.

Something that might help... Ok, bad medical advice from Khash.... actually if it is a sinus problem, snorting warm salt water might help. Not a pleasant thing to do, I know. If it's a sinus thang, though....

Khash.

5. Oh my dear billy!
I remember your talking about this yesterday.....

I am so sorry! I wish there were something I could do about making it go away for you....

You might try some stronger pain medication....perhaps some aspirin...

But don't overdo it, OK?

I feel so helpless, at this distance.....Get better, please.....

12. Thanks Joani
:hi:

I kinda had a checkup at work a few months ago. That wasn't my GP, and it wasn't too intensive: just BP/pulse, height/weight and blood chemistry/pathology. The only thing they pointed out was my LDL cholesterol that was a bit elevated.

20. That all sounds good ...
I don't think that elevated LDL cholesterol would give you headaches ...

Did you stick your head inside the freezer while you were thawing it out :silly:

for your living! You're right though. I'll have to ease off on DU for a while.

11. So sorry. Headaches suck. Wanna know what I take?
Excedrin or - if it's REALLY bad - BC or Goody powders. Goody are better. I'm not a doctor -- that's what I take that works. (Unless it's a migraine.)

Best wishes getting over it, Billy. :hi:

They sound like hell. :scared: Paracetamol usually works for me, although it can take up to an hour to kick in.

14. This is _not_ medical advice.
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 12:28 PM by Heidi
If I'd had a headache for two days, I might consider calling a doctor.

I rarely have headaches, but accupressure nearly always works for me.

http://www.holistic-online.com/Remedies/migraine/mig_acupressure.htm

When accupressure doesn't work, I take ibuprofen and all the good vibes I can get. I'm sending you tons of loving, healing energy, my friend.

23. Do you normally drink coffee, and didn't? Caffeine withdrawal headaches
are common and really suck.

24. I try to avoid caffeine
but I've been doing that for months. I do drink decaf out of the machine at work, because I haven't managed to wean myself off the taste yet! But I had my usual two cups today. :)

25. I am sorry to hear you are in pain, billyskank
Headaches SUCK! Esp. waking up with one. Kinda sets the tone for the whole effing day.... I've had that happen many times, so I feel for you.

I usually just take copious amounts of Advil and hope for the best. Plus, if you're out of aligment, maybe a chiropractic adjustment might help, if you're into that sort of thing. I am a big proponent of regular chiropractic care. It's done wonders for me, personally.

In any case, I hope this passes quickly for you and you're back to your regular self soon.
Hang in there,
Shine
