From the Uncle Floyd Yahoo! group comes news of Mugsy's passing after an earlier message that he was facing "medical challenges":

It is the sad duty of this correspondant to report that C. M. (Mugsy)
Calam has departed the mortal plane of existance at 11:35 PM EDT this
date (10-24-2005) while surrounded by friends, fellow cast members and
extended showbiz family at his bedside. He was thanked by all for the
laughs and music he gifted us with throughout his lifetime. He was
given a standing ovation, bid a fond and loving good night. He then
passed peacefully about 25 minutes later.
