That show is so effing funny it I cannot explain it. It's already a classic, imho. Funnier than Seinfeld, but it has years to go before it can be in that class. I don't know if it will be much for longevity, not a lot of people watch it, but trust me it is awesome.

For the already knowledgeable fan:

My favorite moment is in Season two, when George Sr. is hiding from the police in the attic and is so lonely he is having a tea party with a bunch of dolls. Michael comes up and they are discussing an issue about women, pledging commitment etc. George Sr. starts drinking a cup of coffee and says" You know, I wine em and dine 'em, but..." then at this point he glares over in the direction of the female dolls sitting at a little table and says: "but, I don't let them tell me what to do!" Hahaha! It kills me that a grown man would actually do something like that.

1. One of the cleverest and hilarious shows to come down the pike
in a long time. And truly unique - no one has ever done a show like it.

I laugh my ass off constantly at that show

4. I started watching it last year with my little brother
It would come on at the same time as Cold Case, another favorite of mine, but we somehow stumbled upon watching AD one week when CC wasn't on. It was pretty funny I thought, but I didn't understand the story since I never watched it before. So, then it came out on DVD and I would always see it in Blockbuster, so finally I rented the whole season and my brother and I were hooked. There were episodes that we would nearly be in tears. We'd laugh so hard and be so sweaty that we'd have to turn the air conditioning on. I never saw such a uniquely hilarious show ever.

11. That's the only problem with it, and why it'll be cancelled.
Too many inside jokes. You really have to watch it from the beginning or casual watchers won't get a lot of the humor.

That, and the fact that most people are morons and won't understand most of this brand of humor in the first place.

Still, I'm loving it while it lasts!

2. I got the first season last year for Christmas.
I bought the second season last week. I think it's the best show on television.

5. I agree
I can't think of any one that is better. There is some good tv out there, but AD is on another level.

3. my favorite moment from Season 2 -
Was when Buster and Gob were competing for Lucile Austero (AKA Lucile 2) played perfectly by Liza Minelli and it was revealed that Lucile Bluth was slowly taking over Lucile 2's penthouse apartment whenever she had construction work done.

6. oh yeah that was great too
Those two characters are awesome. Gob has always been my favorite, but lately I've really warmed to Buster. He's so funny, OMG! I love how Gob is freaked out by Buster's hook hand, lol. Those guys are great.

7. This season has been friggin hilarious too
with Buster reinlisting during what he thinks is an award ceremony and Gob realizing Steve Holt (Steve Holt!!) is his son.

8. great show but probably not going to survive past this season
Ratings suck, FOX can't seem to capitalize on the Emmy wins, and the serial storyline works against possible future success because new viewers feel lost from the get go. Being pre-empted by the playoffs and world series probably isn't helping it any either.

It may go one more season so they can hit syndication requirements but unless something happens that creates mass market awareness, I feel it's going to being going away sooner vs. later.

13. Like he needs your money.
Just enjoy yourself for christ's sake. Unless you're a Nielsen household, you aren't even putting the smallest of dents into him.

I was like: " uh, sure, I'll do it I guess." I didn't know they paid you.

16. I know, I begrudgingly watch AD and Family Guy.....
that's the only downer to the whole thing, I hate the principle of watching Fox. I don't do it all that much though.

15. My current favorite moment is from early in season 1
When they are fighting over who gets to drive Dad's car.

The flashback of when young Michael gets the ice cream on the inside roof of the car and gets yelled at by George Sr.

Back to present day time and Michael gets into the car with Gob's scorch marks, Lindsey's spilled nail polish and Buster's dirty bones in the back seat and he says, "Well, I know one thing for sure, I'm getting some ice cream!"

24. I own both sets! My favorite moments:
1. When Tobias covers himself in blue paint for the first time.

Tobias: I blue myself.
Michael: There has GOT to be a better way to say that!

2. When GOB tries to "mail" the letter Michael gives him, only to throw it into the ocean.

3. Tobias: "Even if it means me taking a chubby, I will suck it up!"

4. George Sr. getting arrested by Mexican guards, because of the Cornballer.

5. Tobias: "OK, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professor twice over - an analyst and a therapist. The world's first analrapist."

25. I'm about 12 episodes into season 2
(& already the BBC has dropped it from its digital channel so I'm hoping it survives in its terrestrial slot - 11:30pm Sundays)

So many amazing moments - this season is far better than the first (which I enjoyed, but didn't laugh anywhere near at much). The Chicken Dance gets me every time - espeically the most recent one when Lindsay did hers. I love the George Michael - Anne - Michael relationship and Tobias' "Blue Man Group" stuff, especially when he was spying on Lindsay by hiding against blue things.

(I won't read this thread for fear of spoilers.)
