1. It's sort of ironic that there's this gushiness over a Republican. |

2. He's not a Republican nor a Democrat. |
|
He's independent. Why do you think he's a Republican?

3. Because...he was nominated by a Republican United States Senator?? |
|
I do believe Patrick Fitzgerald (nominated by then Illinois Senator Peter Fitzgerald, a Republican) IS a Republican.

He was registered in Cooke County as an Independent, but retracted that when he learned that "Independent" is an offical party. By morning, I'll try to find the NYTimes link for you about that.

7. You are right Peter F. "put" him in |
|
but I don't know the prosecutor's party affliliation. Peter F. was looking for someone clean and got what he wanted. There were a few things good about Pete F. including some of his financial legislation he got through, which was an attempt at keeping financial markets clean.

4. He's single and he's not a Republican |
|
What I've heard is that he is apolitical. He was registered as an Independent in NY but when he learned that Independent referred to a specific party, he dropped that listing. You have to believe that the Repugs have done all kind of digging on this guy and if they had found any kind of political affiliation, it would have come out by now. He's just a professional prosecutor and apparently wanted to keep the appearance of being neutral.

8. He's 44, single, and I believe a Scorpio (that's explains the |
|
passion for his work...I know, I know...there's a lot more to it). Anyho, he tried to adopt a cat and they wouldn't let him because of his work schedule (I think this was a couple of years ago). He ended up getting a realtives cat. Just what I know makes ME want to marry him and I'm a lesbian! LOL!!!!

He was born on 12/22/60. That puts him on the cusp between Sagittarius and Capricorn.
