I hate my bank
They combined my savings and checking in my bank statement for the past 2 months when I asked them to keep them seperate. Now they're telling me they cannot print me out seperate statements for those months which I need for a legal thing.

Things like this make me want to drink.....

1. I guess if that can't do that for a valued customer.......
...they have won the arguement! Time to find another bank and be sure to let them know why you are changing.

3. Are other banks able to do this service?
Why is my bank so incompetent?

4. Did you talk with your branch manager face to face?
I am willing to bet they could do it if you had direct contact with a decision maker. Someone that could decide if your business is worth the extra effort.
I don't know how much you cycle through your account but look at what they will lose. They get the interest spread on your savings account. They get the merchant fee when you use your visa check card. They can use your checking account funds as invest able cash. They also probably charge a monthly fee as well.
I know my bank earns at least 150.00 a year (just on what I pay in fees), if they couldn't accommodate me with such a simple request I would move it.

8. I do not think any bank or credit union
will be able to do that unless you get a clever computer person. Statements are probably generated automatically for thousands of customers. To make a special print out for each customer who asked for it would be horribly expensive.

However, you might be able to change the name on one of the accounts - put a middle initial in one of them. Then the computer has you as two separate customers.

5. I love how corporate institutions can just change your relationship
with them. They send you a little note telling you they have decided to conver this savings account to a checking account. Or they severe this account from that account. Try it yourself and see what happens. Tell them you are raising your interest rate on your savings account and see how hard they laugh at you.

Corporations got more rights. It's as simple as that.

6. Tell you what, send me all your money,
then you don't have to worry about it.

:-)

That does suck - banks can be a total pain in the ass, especially as the local ones get bought out and the service goes down about 50 notches immediately.

7. See if you can find a credit union to join.

I've been a CU member for years. They usually give you a better deal all the way around.

9. I'm stuck with this bank due to my credit rating.
Edited on Tue Oct-25-05 06:29 PM by graywarrior
Mr. Graywarrior got on the phone and "somehow" got the manager to agree to working on it as hard as he could, or write a statement from the bank regarding our account, whatever that means.

Fuck it, I'm sending all my money to Rabrrrr. I can use swear words on him and get away with it.
