Intel Storage Driver problem on my PC - what is it?

I routinely get this error message on my PC:

Of course, it never offers a solution... any ideas what it could be, and is my PC is danger of dying? (It's been lingering this way for a while now!)

You probably should try to update the driver, although I have no idea if that will be difficult or not.

Apparently (did a google) some spyware/virus programs do not get along well with this driver.

I have the yahoo anti-spy on my machine, as well as Norton anti-virus & counter-spy, too.
