Web Cam:
(Not much to see right now...still dark over in Scotland. But, in a few hours the sun will be coming up, and the scene is beautiful!)

3. Have you seen "Incident at Loch Ness"?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374639/

Best "mocumentary" ever. Who knew Werner Herzog had a sense of humour?!

6. Who knows?
But it would be cool, wouldn't it? As long as he didn't eat anyone.

7. Definitely a hoax
Lake Champlain has a similar monster called Champ. Maybe the two should get together and breed.

8. Hoax
Though I like Police's use of Nessie as a metaphor for the id in Synchronicity 2.

11. Many miles away
Something crawls to the surface
Of a dark Scottish loch

(Trivia: in the second chorus, Sting says "loch" instead of "lake", but the lyrics sheet says "lake" in all three choruses)

The last song of their last album. And a kickass song at that.

12. That it is!
And Sting's last real kickass song before slipping into bland "lite radio" never-never land.

14. None of us can say with certainty whether it's real or not.
I believe the possibility of "sea creatures" still surviving today...but maybe in the ocean where the water gets really deep.

15. I believe the guy that took that photo confessed to its fabrication....
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 03:16 PM by WeRQ4U
He came forward with the truth on his deathbed. Him and his friends manufactured the photo using props.

EDIT: That's not saying there can't be OTHER evidence. I just know that this particular one is a fabrication.

17. What I think is cool is that the Scots have given the
Monster, real or not, a taxonomic classification, Nessiterias rhombopteryx, and protected status as an endangered creature.

Nessiterias rhombopteryx means 'Ness creature with the diamond-shaped fin'.

Cool. B-)
