Good (not lame) Halloween Songs.
I am making a playlist of songs for a trade show this weekend and I would like at least an hour of music to loop.

Lame songs include Monster Mash and Purple Poeple Eater..

So far I have:

This is Halloween
Tales from the Crypt
Thriller
Addams Family
Munsters Theme
Beetlejuice Theme
Double Trouble

this is about 20 mins of music...

I am looking for these preferably in mp3 format or on I tunes. Suggestions or PM's for files would be greatly appreciated.

I am particularly looking for Grim Grinning Ghosts as I can't find it on itunes or napster...

9. The Misfits might have some songs that would work...
A lot of their music is inspired by cult horror and sci-fi movies.

Ha, Ha----Certainly not PC now a days.

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Napoleon XIV lyrics

Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go beserk

Well, you left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind

And, they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away
Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I said
That losing you would make me flip my lid

Right? You know you laughed
I heard you laugh.
You laughed, you laughed and laughed and then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad

And, they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away
Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers
Who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa

I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind unselfish, loving deeds
Ha! Well you just wait
They'll find you yet and when they do
They'll put you in the A.S.P.C.A.
You mangy mutt

And, they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away
Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away, ha-haa
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers
Who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa

I remember it scaring me to death when I was a kid!

12. Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner....Zevon.
I think this is on the same recording as Werewolves of London. It's a very dark tale about mercenaries. It's always overlooked in the halloween song list.

Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner
by Warren Zevon

Roland was a warrior from the Land of the Midnight Sun
With a Thompson gun for hire, fighting to be done
The deal was made in Denmark on a dark and stormy day
So he set out for Biafra to join the bloody fray

Through sixty-six and seven they fought the Congo war
Fingers on their triggers, knee-deep in gore
For days and nights they battled the Bantu to their knees
They killed to earn their living and to help out the Congolese

Roland the Thompson gunner...
Roland the Thompson gunner...

His comrades fought beside him - Van Owen and the rest
But of all the Thompson gunners Roland was the best
So the CIA decided they wanted Roland dead
That son-of-a-bitch Van Owen blew off Roland's head

Chorus: Harmony:

Roland the headless Thompson gunner
Roland the headless Thompson gunner
(Time, time, time
For another peaceful war
Norway's bravest son
But time stands still for Roland
'Til he evens up the score)

They can still see his headless body stalking through the night
In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun
In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun

Roland searched the continent for the man who'd done him in
He found him in Mombassa in a barroom drinking gin
Roland aimed his Thompson gun - he didn't say a word
But he blew Van Owen's body from there to Johannesburg

Roland the headless Thompson gunner...
Roland the headless Thompson gunner...
Roland the headless Thompson gunner...
The eternal Thompson gunner, still wandering through the night
Now it's ten years later but he still keeps up the fight
In Ireland, in Lebanon, in Palestine and Berkeley
Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun
And bought it
