11. Watch the cartoon on WB.
I watched it with my little cousins. That show is a 30 minute commercial for the card game, complete with game play instructions.

The story arcs look like they revolve around new decks.

2. You play too?
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 08:49 PM by Arkana
Geez, I thought I was the only one. In fact, my DU name is one of the characters from the anime--Arkana the Magician.

EDIT: What kind of deck do you have? I run a Dark Magician beatdown.

7. I get such pleasure from messing someone up...
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 09:08 PM by Arkana
My favorite combo is Dark Magician + Thousand Knives--especially when my opponent has waited the entire duel to summon XYZ Dragon Cannon.

EDIT: A Pegasus starter kit? Like the Thousand-Eyes Restrict deck? THAT Pegasus starter kit?

8. That is so mean!!! hehe!!
I love tearing down an opponents attack with several trap and spell cards. Here they think they got me and... well what can I say, I never put down a spell or trap card for nothing!!

9. It's mean, but it's even sweeter when the monster is even stronger.
I remember one duel when I had a kid down to 1000 LP, and he used Cyber-Stein's effect to Spec Summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to the field. Then he threw a Megamorph on it, and of course Megamorph's effect doubled its attack points.

The little bastard was sitting there with a shit-eating grin on his face, which I particularly enjoyed when I drew Dark Magic Curtain, paid 1000 LP to summon Dark Magician to the field, then played Thousand Knives. One direct attack later and he was sitting there, staring into space. Fun times.

10. LOL!
oh, man, I've had days when I sounded like a geek, so don't think I'm laughing TOO loud, but

I gotta admit, it sounds like a fun game. That's probably why I'm afraid to try it. I hate addictive games. It was all I could do to end my addiction to Ultima Online. And I'm scared silly I'll go out and buy WOW one of these days. "Leeeeeeroy Jenkins-aah!"

12. Go ahead and laugh.
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 10:00 PM by Arkana
cause I'll activate the Trap Card Judgment of Anubis!

Just kidding. You've seen the Leeroy video too?

EDIT: It is fun. You have no idea of the rush you get when you're able to summon your favorite (or most powerful) monster to the field. It sounds dorky, I know, but my statement stands.

14. I know exactly what you mean
I had five characters going at one time on the Atlantic Shard of Ultima Online. Ye gods, I wasted so much time with that game. I had a warrior, a smith/miner, a mage, an animal tamer and a treasure hunter. The whole nine yards. I had to let it go when I found myself staying up till 3 in the morning on work nights, building up my stats.
