Who would have thought that the Red Sox and the White Sox
would have ended their slumps in successive years. What are the odds on that?

1. No one.
Same odds as winning the lottery, I'm sure.

But this is one reason why I love baseball!

3. My dear HuckleB.......
Just wanted to tell you that I find your sigline most inspirational!

I've taken the liberty of writing it down in my little book where I write such things, so that I may remember it always.

It truly spoke to me, and I think it always will.

Thank you for such an inspired choice!

:hi:

2. I have absolutely no idea, but last year when the Red Sox
won the Series, I was overjoyed. Tonight, I'm beyond words.

SWEET HOME CHICAGO!!!!

6. This is what I'm saying.
Unless we're going backwards from 1918, and then I think it's back to the Red Sox in '06.

7. I was thinking
that the drought teams are being cleaned up.

Who would be next after the Cubs? Cleveland?

8. Probably.
1948 was the last title for the Tribe.

9. It's gonna be hard for the Cubs next year.
I expect the NL central to be a powerhouse division...

St. Louis will likely win 100 games again next season.
Houston will be really tough too.
Milwaukee will be at least 10 games over .500, especially if their young talents like Rickie Weeks, JJ Hardy, and Prince Fielder have breakout years.
The Reds and Pirates will probably fight over the cellar again.

The Cubs could pull it off, they do have the talent, but will it materialize?
