...DAYUM. I've been a fan for a few years, but had never seen him live. He's doing a solo tour promoting his new "Speechless" instrumental album, and he played a few cuts from it as well as playing a lot of his other tunes. He's one of the most amazing, inspirational, and individual guitarists I've ever seen. He has amazing technique, but he doesn't use it to merely show off like metal shredders do...his technique is subservient to the music, and boy what music!
He got some funny digs at Bush, Rove & Co. in as well, which was a bonus. :D But the show was just stunning.
If you ever get a chance to see Cockburn play, do it. Great songs, great playing, and a great voice...he puts on a great show.
