2. Meh.
It's the only thing that keeps me going during the day.

As you may or may not know, I'm an insomniac.

3. DUDE! Me, too!
I am drinking one RIGHT NOW.

I have a long-held theory that the stuff has cocaine or opium or something in it... I mean, when was the last time you met someone who was addicted to and unhealthily obsessed with Pepsi? But people who drink Dr Pepper are obsessed... drink it like water... all of us...

4. Same here
Though now I drink only 2-3 a day. Ten years ago it was like 6-8.
And I'm out right now. Gotta make a run to the sto'. :scared:

(Btw — in keeping with the logo, it's "Dr" without a period.)

5. I now drink an average of about .33 12 oz Dr Peppers per day
In high school I regularly drank 4 liters a day... while watching Oprah and munching on crunchy leftover batter from Long John Silver's... mmm... heaven... strangely enough, I have never had an acne problem...

8. I'm all out!
And I don't have a car to drive to the store, so I'm going to have to carry a 24-pack back a mile to my apartment!

:(

although I don't drink them all the time, they are my favorite "I'm really tired and need a pick me up" soda. I heard that they have more caffeine than other sodas...

12. I love the stuff...
but, in an effort to lose weight (which is working, btw) - I've cut down seriously.

I mostly drink soda with Splenda these days, when I drink soda.

I get Dr. Pepper only occasionally (like they're out of Pepsi One, or I'm out to eat, where they still don't offer Splenda stuff).

One of the few things I really miss on my diet.

14. on a related note...
I just got back this summer from living for four years in the UK and I finally got used to the taste of the Dr Pepper (which is not very popular) over there. At first it tasted gross, but then I realized a cold, cold can of it, pored over ice into a glass, was **almost** like one back at home in Texas.

Then I got used to them.

When I got back here they tasted more 'right', though.

Anyway, I recently happened through Hico, Texas on a REALLY out-of-the-way drive back from Austin, and the station I stopped at was selling Dublin Dr Pepper (look them up on the web!), which is made by the original recipe, with 100% pure Imperial cane sugar. Suddenly it hit me! That's what it is in the UK, I bet! They don't put high fructose corn syrup in anything over there... don't think I ever saw it listed as an ingredient... and one of my colleagues told me about how when she went to NYC once she couldn't believe how it was in everything from breakfast cereal to chocolate bars.

Anyway, I tasted the Dublin Dr Pepper, straight from an old-fashioned 10-2-4 bottle, and, loa nd behold, it tasted just like the English stuff! I bought three six-packs, but, alas I have now run out. You can order it from their website, though. I mean, I know it's still BAAAD, but it's gotta be LOADS better than the corn syrup crap.

15. I prefer Mr. Pibb
I used to really like Dr. Pepper until a friend turned me onto Mr. Pibb. It's just better somehow.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to sell it in NYC. So, I stick with the good Dr. now.
