I have an unhealthy addiction to Dr. Who.
I keep watching the DVDs and VHS tapes and I can't stop!

Daleks, Cybermen, Mara, oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please do what they did to cult members from the mid-1970s! Take me away! Lock me up in a motel for a weekend!

1. Take a deep breath, step away from the tapes/DVDs
and tell me who is your favorite companion?

3. Jamie. Followed by Barbara, followed by Harry, followed by
Turlough, followed by Peri (both of her), followed by Tegan... :D I really dig Captain Jack as well, though he's from the new series (2005)...

9. Tegan always gave me special feelings
I also liked K9 myself. And yes there probably is something unhealthy about being a companion. Sadly I haven't seen the new series. I am so sad.

12. Torchwood...
Oh yes!!!

It's aimed at adults (yet Series 1 wasn't?!) and features Captain Jack in a starring role (YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

As Torchwood (an anagram of "Doctor Who") isn't fully Dr Who, they've got all the freedom to do what they want. And there's nobody better THAN Captain Jack to pull it off. Just as long as they don't make him hetero, like they had the purportedly bi chick on "Coupling"... for a bi, she always seemed to be interested only in men... not that I can't blame her, but still!!!

8. Last week, I watched "The Twilight Zone" DVDs for eight hours straight
What's more, when I run into a weird situation, I actually construct Serling-style narrations in my head.

Best. Series. Ever.

14. Twilight Zone is the best show ever.
I actually request off from work (if I can remember) whenever the Twilight Zone marathon is on.

10. Have you seen season 1 of the new series yet?
They did an exceptionally good job of bringing it into the modern world. The second season will begin in December, I believe.

I recently scored a copy of the Logopolis/Castrovalva Tom Baker final episodes. I also especially enjoy watching The Five Doctors. Great stuff.

11. Yes I had...
On initial viewing, a lot of it was great.

On repeat viewings, they don't hold up as well.

For modern audiences, it is great. But apart from some quotes, it's do different than any modern day American si-fi drama show.

There were some moments of glory, most definitely, but it's hit or miss.

I AM optimistic that the weak points will be resolved.

All in all, I still say it's a success.

There's the Christmas special in December, but I've not heard when series 2 will start.

I've heard there is a spinoff already being made, and some spoilers for series 2 as well... it SOUNDS promising... but can it deliver?

13. I'm not going there
Locking you up in a motel for a weekend would get this thread locked.

I'm a fanboy too. Not only have I watched every episode... well, I've subscribed to every 'zine you could name. I'm on a first name basis with many DW novel writers.

It is a sickness, but you will survive.

Khash.
