Grocery Store Won't Stock Vagina Owner's Manual
<snip>

The October issue of Seventeen magazine is too racy for the Albertsons' supermarket chain.

The magazine have been pulled because of an article titled "Vagina 101."

Close-up drawings detail various parts of the female anatomy, under the headline "Owner's Manual."

The Idaho-based Albertsons' corporate office issued a statement saying the magazine was pulled because of complaints from customers.

But there's plenty of racy stuff still on the Albertsons' magazine rack, including Men's Health, with an article called "Six Secret Ways to Turn Her On."

1. Wallowing in their ignorance is a way of life for some people.

And they will always be offended if anyone intrudes on their ignorance.

right next to the condoms...I'm sure that's something a lot of guys could probably benefit from reading. I recall seeing the results of a survey where something like 45% of men were unable to correctly identify the clitoris on a diagram of the female genitalia, which is pretty damned sad if you think about it. One can only assume that they were Republicans.

8. Albertson's is right to be concerned.
Why, if girls today start to suspect that they have vaginas, they're certain to start using them!!!!!

11. It is a body part! They
are making it seem as though girls should be ashamed. It could benefit teens to learn about that part of their body and understand it. So many girls think they are abnormal or whatever. Why is it bad to learn and understand what is normal and healthy?

29. Seventeen is a magazine for teens, that is probably why the objections
I used to read it in the late 70s/early 80s. It was the magazine when I was in high school that all the girls read and got fashion ideas from. They always avoided real controversy back then.

30. Right! But teens need to know about their body parts as
much as anyone else. It is a learning tool, not promoting good or better sex. It is teaching them about their bodies.
