4. The parade was great. Really.
But we couldn't get across LaSalle Street, and therefore, couldn't get to Jason.

I couldn't ever meet with my own brother who called me on my cel and said, "Forget it man, it's a madhouse. Everybody is on their own." Oh well. I'll see my bro tonight at Poker.

5. I was watching on TV
and wondered how you would find each other in that mass of humanity, especially since his phone is sitting on the dresser charging. Maybe he's still down there since he hasn't checked in.

14. once when I was in Toronto
I saw a sign outside a music store that said meet Don Cherry. I was crushed when I realized it was the hockey guy, and not the jazz trumpeter. ( who was still alive at the time.)

That's the kind of mind I have.
