Rabrrrrrr's perfect world: no savings time, and equinox in March |
|
There's nothing worse than light in the morning, so in my perfect world, there wouldn't be a savings time - it's just now, finally, staying dark long enough in the morning to be proper, and now it's gonna get fucked up.
Also, the equinox which is currently located in December, which is a fucking dumb-ass way-too-early time to have it, would be moved to March.
Just when life is finally getting interesting - cold, snow, and darkness - that (&@*^#%#$ equinox comes in December - fucking december!!!!!! - and the days start getting longer, before Winter has even fully set in!
Fuck that.
Yeah, I know, it would require fucking up the orbit of the Earth, but that's a small price to pay to actually have the appropriate amount of darkness, and a proper fucking winter.
Days getting longer in December - what a fucking crock.
And yes, the summer equinox stays in June. 3 months of longer days is fucking enough.

1. No one has EVER given me a good reason for the time change! |
|
Someone tried to say that it's done for the farmers, but I can't figure that shit out at all. During the winter, farmers don't give two shits when the sun rises. It's WINTER! No crops grow in the winter.
I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.
Go to work: dark. Go home after work: dark.
This sucks.

2. No, it was to save energy in factories |
|
By using more sunlight, less electrical light.
At this point, it's really not necessary any more, and is actually kind of annoying - now it gets lighter earlier in the morning (which sucks), and darker earlier at night (which also sucks).

Although, when the bloody time change has one's baby up at 5 am, there is dark in the morning.

Are you thinking of the solstice???? There is no equinox in December, that would be very warped, I agree.
I hate to spoil a good rant, but, I'm just sayin'....

8. Vernal Equinox is March 21 & Autumnal Equinox is September 21. |
|
The Summer Solstice is June 21 and Winter solstice is December 21.
I also dislike the long winter nights. I get depressed as the days grow shorter.

9. It's a Solstice in December |
|
the Equinox occurs on the first day of spring and the first day of fall. the Solstice occurs the first day of summer and the first day of winter.
On the Equinox, days and nights somewhere are of equal length, and the Solstice is the longest day or night summer and winter, respectively.
But I knew what you meant.

13. That's because I type very slowly. |

kick-ass-bob was the last poster when I start my reply, which took extra long, because if I am signing as 'A Pedant' pendatic attention to detail and typos is very important.
