Can somebody explain this to me? |
|
Tonight I had one swhot of drambuie. Just one shot.
I downed it in the usual 15 minutes.
I become blitzed out of my brain (or what's left of it) for two HOURS. :wtf:
Much to my embarrassment, some bloke (appx 40 years old) comes over (who had been drinking one whole quart pitcher of beer) who reminds me that if I drink, I should be careful for my life.
Or, perhaps, reassurance?
As of this point I may as well stop drinking. My destiny isn't to fry myself out of the smallest possible quantity of liquor...

1. Had you eaten anything before drinking? |
|
I used to waste a lot of time hanging out with this crazy woman I knew, way back when. She would coach me on how to drink the most liquor. She said that eating things like potatoes (starch) would help you hold more liquor. Eating sweets would help you get drunk easier using less liquor. I believed her for the longest time because the tactic seemed to be working. When she had that p.j. party that time though, she soaked the fruit in the liquor all day long and kept adding more as the day went on. She swore up and down that the Everclear was such a strong drink that it could possibly kill me if I drank too much of it because of my physical size ( I'm sort of skinny). Anyhow, I outdrank everyone at the party and never even got buzzed that night. She had no explanation except to say that I drank myself sober. She said I had to have had a buzz at some point during the night, but I didn't. Oh well.
I do know that drinking on an empty stomach or after eating sweets will make you drunk quicker MOST of the time, or so it seems.
