I am glad I when I was a kid we were allowed to have fun without holidays being spoiled by tightass adults.

7. My wife and I love Halloween

we had a costume wedding three years ago (on the 26th though), and it is our favorite holiday. It's fun to dress up and dress the dog up and have people over.

12. Something wrong with folks who hate Halloween

I don't do much myself. We live to far out in the boonies to get any little goblins hawkin' for candy.

But my kids still like to celebrate. Some years we drive into town to go to one of the haunted mansions in the old warehouse district.

And every year I get roped into helping plan my daughter's costume. She's quite creative and does most of the work herself, but since I'm stuck paying for the materials, I need to participate or she'd wipe out my checking account. I love seeing what she comes up with every year.
