a friend that knows more about this stuff than I do has suggested that she is trying to live long enough for Prince William to marry so she can alter the line of succession (she apparently has the power to do so) to bypass Charles. It's obvious that she dislikes him..she passed a rule that his wife (Camilla) can never be queen...if he becomes king she remains her current title of "Princess Consort" (a title unofficially equal to the King's whore.)

3. I think Wills is going to get it |

He's young, handsome, and popular.
Charles has too much baggage.

Its' irrelevance is only political...the monarch is still the head of the Anglican church with full powers as such over every Anglican and Episcopalian in the world. (like the Pope has over Catholics)
Edit: as a Canadian, isn't she your Head of State as well? I know you have a PM that holds all the power but on paper, she's still your queen, no?

The British love their monarchy.

any monarchy, that is - is a completely anachronistic institution and has no place in modern society.
Just give the Windsors one of their castles to live in and let them leave quietly. :boring:

he won't accept it because he's divorced, and will step aside and let William be king.
Quite frankly the whole damned inbred family should get off the dole, get proper jobs and start contributing to the British economy.
