Offers pour in to bring home cat stranded in France

APPLETON — Their pet’s wanderlust has catapulted Lesley and Donny McElhiney to international fame.
The tale of Emily, the year-old cat who traveled from Appleton to France by boat and truck as a stowaway in a container of paper bales, first ran Friday morning. By mid-afternoon, the McElhineys had heard from The Times of London, CBS’ Inside Edition and NBC’s Today Show.
