I got tombstoned right after you did, and when I couldn't get back on, I emailed the mods, but no one answered me. I looked at my last few posts before I got locked out, and couldn't find anything I had said that was so bad I'd get locked out.Then I picked 4 or 5 long threads between the Lounge and GD: CIA Leak, and in those few threads alone, I found 45 DUers who were missing their avatars, like me, and figured there had to be a glitch!

Is there some way to know which mods are "on duty" at a time like last night?

During the day, it's not so much a problem, but at night or on weekends, or both, it's much harder to find the mods who are about...

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Do you guys/gals pick up each other's messages? So that there's always coverage? Or is that asking too much?

We try to keep track of who is in in the Mod forum, so that we can work together, but there's not a way for the average member to know.

This is a good point. I'll take it to the admins. Maybe we can come up with something.

I was thinking about this earlier, when I was watching Bravo's 100 scariest movies show. There were several on there I just could not watch again, particularly "Single White Female." I loved the movie, but it was so psychologically unsettling to me that I will never be able to watch it again!

Me. I'm a little broken (ribs (x2) and eye (left)) Got into a little scuffle last night. But, my friend was dropping folks with a single punch.. Kinda funny, this guy is huge and I have never heard of him getting in a fight. And he has the most gentle voice. It was odd to see him kick ass with such precision. He was totally calm and throwing single punches that dropped people. It wasn't cool to fight but we had to. It was 20 of us on about 30 of them. I'm not even sure what it was about.

106. Went to the Halloween Parade in the village,

walked around and saw some great costumes. The parade was really cool, the theme was changed last minute and they brought in a bunch of New Orleans Residence and there was "Jazz Funeral Procession" to start the parade. It was really great. They resurrected the Phoenix (they used it the halloween after 9/11) and said it was the re-raising of the Phoenix, this time for for New Orleans.

We are tucked off the main road, so usually only get the two little cuties who live across the street. But because of that, we make up treat bags for them, instead of just giving them one or two pieces of candy. They don't go to many houses either, again, because of where our little street is. I miss the days when I was in high school, and we had so many kids coming to the door of my parents house!

It would really make it more special giving like that to kids close to you. We live on a well traveled side street near a former elementary school so we've had a fair number of kids in the area. But for some reason we didn't have a great number of kids go to our part of the neighborhood. I didn't really go trick or treating as a kid. We lived on a farm and didn't go anywhere to do that, although there were a number of houses fairly close to us, within a mile or so.

In junior high, my math teacher would turn his house into a haunted house, complete with ghosts and goblins and scary music and sounds outside, and containers of things you had to stick your hand in and figure out what it was (ooey, gooey, slimy things). Yea, junior high was a bit old for trick or treating, not not to old to go to Mr. Manley's house to get the crap scared out of you!
