Farabundo Marti: Anyone have a clue?
I just found out today that my granddad probably ordered his execution. And am very shocky - after coming back from the dead and all.

But, if you know anything about him, please post it here. I'm trying to get a fix on what he was about and what this all means.

Geeze, being tombstoned was enough for one day, already. :eyes:

4. I found out today that my grandfather had him and two others
taken to the municipal cemetery and shot.

My mother is in complete denial.

Long day.

in the establishment of the mission trail & system here in cali, you have to know they were some contentious, and not so proud moments after all he has conveyed to me  but here we are

6. That's right. Here we are. But I'd like to understand what happened.
History, can't live with it.

7. historians; what's that line, 'they who win revise their own histories'...
or some such. all this talk about right-wing judges, left-wing judges makes so little sense to me when i'd like one or two straight up the middle. i sometimes feel the same way about history as in please strip away the undo braggadocio and romanticism both from what really was and teach it to they with simpler questions.

8. The "new" historicism is a lot like the old one. Coercive.
I just found it a little insane that I worked briefly on Contragate as a translator and my grandfather was probably spinning in his grave.

Well, as The Magistrate might say, happy hunting to me. Lots of fact finding to do.

9. Halt!
It’s not my fault

Not all the way anyway
Not in those days
Not in those ways

We done those times
Gone, gone
When we done those crimes
Gone…gone, gone

So hard
So un-forgiven
We did those crimes
When we done those times
When

All I ever want
Is to see you soar
Upon your feathered wing
As

The song angel song
The song angel sing
The song angel song
The song angel sing, sing
The song angel song
The song angel…sing…sing, sing
Sing.............the song angel sing
The song angel song

that's a little hubby thing, part of how he 'deals'
