HALLOWEEN PET RANT (it is brief)

Unless your pet drools with pleasure when you break out the costume, don't dress your pet. Please. It's degrading, humiliating, uncomfortable.... :puke: not to mention thoroughly disgusting.

You might think that as crazy as I am about cats that I'd think they're so cute in costume. I don't. I think they're horridly misused.

2. I'm sorry, I should've clarified: I'm talking about fur, feather, or scale
-covered pets. :hi:

PS and if you think I'm including Missing Links: I'm referring only to four-legged fur covered pets. ;)

11. My best friend is Chewbacca w/ his face clean-shaven...
I put sunblock on his back at the beach once. It was like rubbing lotion into a carpet. :yoiks:

3. I agree.
I never understood why people would dress their pets up. I think it's just silly. Pets don't care about Halloween. :hi:

I just wanted to get a quick picture. The pics didn't turn out that great. Oh well, you live and you learn. My little one does love it though. Not the big dogs!! Proof:

6. My mother used to dress up the dachshund
Which got him the attention he wanted from the trick-or-treaters. In fact, kids used to come asking whether Oscar was dressed up this year. Anything that increased the attention he got from visitors was okay by him.

She made him a little cape (which attached to his collar) and put a hat on him. He wasn't thrilled with the little witch hat, but he didn't seem to mind the cape.

But cats? We tried to put one of those "Elizabethan" collars on her when she was fussing at an open sore on her face - forget it - she got out of it in like 10 seconds. That was one angry cat.

12. Like this:
Deuce (80# American Pit Bull Terrier) showing off his fairy wings!

We got those last night, he was trotting around the house. Of course, he's the dog that acted all regal and important when we put that furry Christmas tree skirt around him when taking down the tree...
