YOU! yeah you-CHANGE THE BATTERIES IN YOUR SMOKE ALARM
If you forgot to do it yesterday change the batteries in your smoke alarm and don't give me any of that "I don't think the old one is done yet" because you will be crying at 2 AM when it DOES run out and your PJ's is burning.

Comply.

12. I can vouch for this!
It is no fun when your first warning of a fire is black smoke coming out of the ventilation system.

Yeah I'm fine.
It was five years ago and the fire was mostly contained to my roommate's room who started the fire in the first place. So, it wasn't so bad.

Thanks for the Jesus O'Lantern.

26. AM or PM? this is important
AM BEFORE you changed the clocks (the clock on the stove is the official house clock unless it doesn't work in which according to the 22nd amendment the biggest one nearest the main TV is the official one unless you are one of them "reader" freaks in which case you probably don't work anyway so who gives a rip if you are late) or AM after changing the locks (see official clock protocol above in thread.

22. smoke alarm?
but I don't smoke. What do I need an alarm for?

You know how those things beep at you when the battery needs to be changed? I kept putting it off and the SOB beeped at me for a year before my bro-in-law finally changed the battery. I say if the tanjed thing has enough power to beep every ten minutes then there is still some battery power there.

Although since your kiddo is still quite young and mine is 3, you may have changed more.

And my furnace only needs new filters once a year :)
