What do you do for exercise?
I pull on surgical tubing every day (poor man's Bowflex), run the dogs at least twice a week (kicking along up the hills), and I've started hitting the pool again.

Added bonus: our local pool is adjacent to a hot spring, which makes for excellent post-workout lounging.

What do you do?

3. Walk, walk walk
Don't own a car.

Walking and thinking speed seem to go hand in hand (or foot in foot)

4. Walking is best
I try for a 45-60 brisk walk every day. I get grouchy if I miss a few days. I also walk dogs at the local shelter. I like a long hike too but don't often get the chance for that.

I've tried the exercise machines and light weightlifting for the upper body but I only succeed at walking.

Oh yeah, I always take the stairs...

Walking up and down stairs is about my most extreme exercise.

7. Ride a bike
Not easy this time of year. gotta ride the "hamsterwheel' instead. Boring. Boring. Boring. went from 4 hours/50 miles a week to about 45 minutes. But some say that 45 minutes is as good as 2 hours on the road...Got rollers coming, so I'll have the thrill of trying to not ride off them and hit the wall.....

12. I need a class
at this point to stay motivated. I go to an aerobics class 4 nights a week. Walk every day for about an hour and walk one of the dogs everyday for about 45 minutes. I'm just starting to lift weights again, I used to really enjoy it.

18. Lift weights 3x/week...
Cardio 2x/week (during summer, when I get add'l cardio from yardwork) or 3x/week (during winter, when I don't get the extra). Cardio is either rowing, running/walking or biking.

27. Ya!
I carry thirty pounds around my waist everywhere I go. I remember at some family function or other, the men all looked uniformly rotund. I was svelte at the time (age 24?) but thought, when I'm 35, I'm going to look like that. I was wrong. I was 34 when I started to look like that. D'oh! Losing 5 pounds has been a BEECH. I can't imagine losing 20, which is probably why I haven't.

31. I swim whenever possible
Fortunately, I still have access to a very nice indoor pool at the Naval Base where my ex is stationed.
Unfortunately, I dont get there as often as I would like.
I also walk at least 3-5 miles a day at work, briskly, with 'tude!
Works for me.

32. step and floor aerobics VCR tapes at home
the idea of being in a gym repulses me; ewwwwwwwwww - all those sweaty people. Plus working out at home is so much more convenient. I try to do weight training too but find it exceedingly boring.
