Poll question: What's the political colour where you live?
What is the overall political "colour" of your local area, and how does that match up with your state?

Please elaborate.

2. Red part of a blue state.
In 2002, we elected the first Democrats (3) to our county Board (12) since the Civil War.

I know what it feels like to be a minority.

3. Honolulu, HI
Although we voted for our first Republican governor in 44 years, we are still overwhelmingly a blue state. No doubt about that.

7. I would say I'm in the swing part of a red state.

The rural parts are red, because the farmers are STUPID. Yes, you can quote me on that. Republican voter card in one hand, government subsidy check in the other. That's the saying among liberals around here.

The city I'm in is basically half-and-half. Though I don't believe that * has a higher than 30 percent approval rating here.

8. Blue part of a red state.
Austin, TX. Although the Shrub won in 2000, he received 45% or so; Gore got 40% or so and Nader got 15%. Gore would have won Travis County easily if it was a two-horse race.
