I have quirks up the ying yang - which people always laugh at. And a good sense of humour as well as being charasmatic and very loyal and honest...starting to sound like an egomaniac here.
On edit I had another buddy of Irish Lineage that was the same way.... he used to call it "Persuasive Irish Charm."

I tend to be brutally honest, which many people have told me they just love about me. It's also the thing that many people have told me they hate the most about me.
Oh well, ya can't please everybody.

I think the people who get to know me like me because I'm a very genuine person which I suppose sounds somewhat trite. Why I mean is I don't play games, I'm honest how I feel, and I don't lie. I guess I can't say I never lie, but it's usually to protect someone else in some way and I still try to be honest as much as I can without hurting them. People who are close to me don't have to guess how I feel. Little things make me happy and sometimes I still act like a giddy little kid. Frequently though, I have a hard time truly opening up. It's not easy for me. Not so much shy, but aloof (or so I've been told) which can appear as "stuck-up" to other people at times, but it's not. It's just about feeling safe to be myself without feeling like it's going to come back to haunt me.
There have been other more shallow reasons why people have liked me, especially certain males I've met, but it doesn't seem to work unless they like other aspects of my personality as well as any physical features I possess.

I've had people tell me that I'm fun to be around. I'm always joking and laughing but if something is wrong I'm a good listener. I've also had people tell me that they like to be around me because I'm strait up and strait forward about what I think and what I have to say. So I guess its probably a combination of those things.
