2. No Shit! Looked like UAL at SFO to me.
As an MD-80 captain for a major airline, my philosophy was minimum power until takeoff. Easy, easy power from the gate (we did not "power-back"), and easy, easy power on the ramp. Slow taxi with the jet behind in mind. I always had my jetblast under control.

5. It's United's new discount airline - to compete with Southwest
Jetblue, etc. It's taken from the last three letters of United's name, in an attempt to be warm and fuzzy, I suppose.
