Clark was born 58 years ago. And since his birth, there has been NO LIFE ON MARS.
DOESN'T ANYBODY SEE IT?
Clark isn't a REAL Democrat!

Your link to the story of the speech and the "misses" is cute in a shucks sort of way--but it illustrates that trait of Clark's in action.

21. The word "many" means indefinite but large number |
|
We would probably disagree over the amount. The future will show if I am correct (or if you are)regarding "many" in this case. I think that if Clark wins the nomination he will lose the election. I'm sure you think he is the "most electable." The future will prove one of us right and one of us wrong.
Perception does not mean that it is a "fact." That is why I used the word "perceived." Clark's changing his views is something that I think can indicate growth in an individual. But in Clark's case I doubt his sincerity and the depth of his conversion.
You know as a Clark defenders that some members here do make the claim that he has waffled, on IWR as well as his own confusion when claiming to be a "proud Democrat" when he was still a registered Independent.
I only commented because it is ironic that a supporter would post an anecdote that illustrated "waffling" in a silly way.

|
Edited on Wed Nov-19-03 02:38 AM by BillyBunter
Does it warrant a post? You repeated claptrap to slam Clark, and now actually admit it, which makes your original post the work of a hypocrite.
There is no way of 'knowing' if Clark is the most electable or not, since only one person will get the opportunity to face Bush, and winning or losing wouldn't prove anything. Gary Hart would probably have fared better than Mondale did against Reagan in 1984, but he still would have lost. Did that make him 'less electable' than Mondale? One must infer subjective issues like electability by using one's judgment, hopefully unfettered by the bonds of hyposcrisy and wishful thinking, of the evidence. That evidence tells me that Clark is the most electable; your judgment will, given what I've seen of it, lead you to a somewhat different conclusion, but then, there's that part about hypocrisy and wishful thinking getting in the way.

A concept from Greek tragedy that implies an overwhelming overconfidence or pride. I feel free to joke about Clark waffling because it is so obviously a canard. Clark is as much a waffler as Dean is soft-spoken or Kucinich is centrist or Gephart is charismatic.

But for me, there is NOTHING humorous about Clark and the situation this country is in. Entrust is funded by Nortel- Entrust has just landed the Homeland Security gig and a major Northrop "Gruntmen"contract. Entrust is now set up to detect and find draft evaders. What do you not understand about WHO Wes Clark is? It is no joking matter when democrats fall for a corporatist posing as a candidate for president. and by the way, he is not a Republican, or a Democrat. For those of you who have not figured it out- our country has suffered a coup de tate by CORPORATISTS- they care not about political parties. They only care about amassing and maintaining power. Example: Carlucci/Nortel funder and founder of Entrust. Oh who was the former director of Entrust who still holds major shares in the fascist digital identity tracking company ENTRUST? COULDN"T be ole "WC" could it? People get the government they deserve. So be it. Run lemmings, run. It's not a cliff, really. Pay no attention to what those men behind the corporate curtains are up to. BHN

no better than the freaks who post at Free Republic (a site I'd never heard of 'til I came here and saw how many people obsessed over it), they just come from a different angle. But the root attitudes, paranoia, anger, bitterness, the belief that the other guy is out to tear the country down, are the same. Given the rhetoric here, I keep finding myself disappointed -- it must be the idiot optimist in me. People here remind me, all the time, that Stalinism started out as a left-wing movement.

31. I am bookmarking this thread. |
|
After the 2004 election, I will bring it back. Bush will have won a second term, thanks to WC, his stalking horse that you have mistaken for a saviour. wolf in sheeps clothing is more accurate, but you are convinced that the military is a democractic way of life, so why bother. Entrust and Nortel will have major business with the HS and serve in enforcement of the Patriot Act and Draft (June 2005) as well.
Entrust will also have secured more contracts in India in outsourcing -Remember SIRVA? Clark's friend and fellow share holder in Entrust Huang will be handling even more accounts for Halliburton and Bechtel, Exxon and so forth...
I will say no more until it comes to pass, and then I will bring this thread back to say, I tried to tell you.
