There was a giant cockroach in my history class today... |
|
It was roughly 3 inches long and probably 1.5 inches wide, and showed up about a foot from where I was sitting. I relocated precipitously.
No one had the courage to squish it though, and it vanished shortly before the end of class. A couple people figured it wound up in someone's bag.
Not in mine, fortunately, but I'm phobic of roaches (capable of controlling myself in public, thankfully) and could use some cheering up/calming down.

What do they got, that I ain't got?" "Courage?"
It takes courage to squish a cockroach? Well, if I see a damsel in distress, then I might even take on a five inch cockroach! :patriot:

Fortunately this one didn't decide to take to the air or I'd have fled screaming and cursing for the door, knocking over desks and fellow students as I went.

I had a flying roach land on me once and run down my t-shirt and over my chest. To keep the story short, I invented a new dance as I pulled off my clothes (in public) trying to get this thing off of me. Needless to say, I attracted quite an audience with my performance.
Looking back I can laugh about this, but at the time it was not funny at all.

12. I had a 3 inch hissing cockroach on my head once |
|
I was at a park for my sons birthday and there was guy from a nature center there, he asked to put something on my head and I try to guess what it was, I though he was gonna put a tarantula on my head, nope it was a big bug, I freaked. I don't know why I thought I could handle a big spider, I probably would have freaked about that too.
I do have a picture of it, but not on my computer.

|
They're so scary and useless. The ones in Texas are huge, huge, huge and some fly. When my kid was little and she was watching Power Puff Girls' eposide about the roaches crawling over people I fled in terror.

Remind me never to do anything like that without getting assurances that it won't be a roach first.

get used to them . Sometime they'll run across your face while you're sleeping or crawl on your tooth brush when the lights are out or crawl out of your cereal box or get in you shoes during the night or be in your kayak and crawl up your leg when you cant reach them. Get a dog or cat they will eat them.
