8. It's now 70.1% don't approve of his visit. |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-19-03 10:36 AM by E_Zapata
Now that makes sense.
The little gift the UK media gave him on the day prior to his arrival showing only 30% disapprove of the visit as well as disapproving of him and his policies was totally uncalled for. 70% of the people hating his guts sounds more like the truth.
Which makes me think......I want to know what bush's REAL poll numbers here in the US?
**edit, I can't type this morning!

It was way out of line from others.

4. Yeah, it's mental all right. Sucker is completely ignorant of the fact |
|
that Britain had fought Hitler to a standstill re the invasion of the UK well over a year before the US got involved in the war. We didn't come to their rescue.

5. Wow, the 'smirk' itself seems to be contagious |
|
look at how the queen is smirking. Not that she ever looks all that sunny side up.....but I would swear she is starting to look like the company she keeps!
Most common word heard around the Palace this week: Insufferable!
That's an amazing quote. Simply amazing. Of course, with hindsight, I wish we had not gotten involved in WW2. No WW2......no superpower status for us...and maybe we wouldn't be the most dangerous nation on earth today.

I think you should be our offical mascot during this special little week with the focus on the UK!!
Yeah, and I would love to educate Mr. Enjoned a bit about the Bush connection to Hitler. Might not have needed to go to war if the bush family had not been sooooooo helpful to Hitler!

6. And he knows his history too! |

Since the Americans came riding in to London, pushing the German occupation out of the UK and saved the British people from the Nazis. The Brits are indeed lucky that the Americans pushed the Germans out of the UK.

14. The Germans couldn't invade the UK due to their lack of a decent Navy |
|
and their inability to defeat the RAF. Still, nice to see Ejoned did his research before making such a gracious comment.

15. Of course they didn't occupy the UK |
|
But that doesn't matter to most Murikans. Rush told them that we saved the UK, France and everyone else single-handedly in WWII, and they should owe us complete acquiescence on every single scheme we come up with in perpetuity throughout the universe.

the BBC request down at the bottom:
"If you see the president's bullet and bomb proof limousine or the security measures in place around London - send us a photo.
Take a picture and send it to: yourlondon@bbc.co.uk
The pictures can be taken with a digital camera or even use your mobile phone!"

Check out this one...
I would like to apologize in advance for Mr Bush's presence in your country and the disruption that his royal entourage will cause. I hope that the good people of Britain will show him what they think of Mr Bush and his policies, as we are unable to do so in the US. All protests are fenced off miles from any appearance he makes, so we are unable to assemble to show our disdain for this warmongering idiot. We trust many of you will let him know exactly what you think of him and of his policies in the most exuberant and noisy way, to break through the bubble of "approval" that his handlers float this moron around in. Thank you. W. Kelly USA
