Poll question: Should my dad be worried about my safety when I wear my Anyone But * shirt
Last weekend I was traveling as usual. This time I decided to wear my ANYONE BUT BUSH SHIRT. I figured that since ATL was the busiest airport in the country it was a perfect place to advertise.

Well...

My dad got all mad and was like don't wear that. Those people (wingnuts)are crazy. You don't know what they'll do. They may follow you and you don't want to get into that type of situation.

So I ask...

Should my dad be concerned about my safety when I wear my ANYONE BUT BUSH shirt? What about my Chihuahua's safety...when he wears his ANYONE BUT BUSH shirt I fashioned out of a baby bib.

1. How good are you at verbal and physical defense?
Yes, there are nutjobs out there. One of them might get in your face. Can you put them out of it?

2. Depends on where you wear it...
... and the relative sanity and tolerance of the surrounding population. You must realize that that shirt will be a magnet that will attract a few agreeable comments, but may also attract the wrath of a Bubba, who will try to "kick yer ass" so that he may tell his story to the rest of his toothless, inbred, mouth breathin', queer hatin', "fuckin' liburrals are traitors" family (during their Thanksgiving feast of processed turkey loaf and green bean casserole).

Know your friends. But know where your enemies hang out.

4. I have several pins on my purse
Impeach Bush, Stop MadCowboy Disease, etc. I've worn them at several airports including Houston. Sadly, noone commented on them. I think you are fine. Wear your shirt with pride.
