I am stopping in Indianapolis to rest. It's a nice town. I am in the downtown.

1. Well, you've missed everyone
We've had a couple of DU gatherings there in the past week. Take a walk in the capitol building, which has been beautifully refurbished. The Eteljorg museum is small but nice.

Where are you planning to wind up?

20. LOL! (double-secret probation)
Carlos, take a deep breath...do you *really* think they are following you, combing the 'Net to follow you? Unless there is some part of the story we have not heard, that is very , very unlikely.

They have forgotten about you already. They have robbed, like, 30 people since you.

You were the victim of a crime, crimes actually, but it sounds like you are veering into some scary psychological areas. You want to be able to function once you get settled, right? I am very security conscious, but you also have to live your life.

8. Do you honestly think
they are tracking you on the DU message board?

There must be something more to your story if you think you've angered someone to be specifically targeted like that. Muggers do NOT track people across the country.

11. Ya think?
I hope wherever you end up that you hook up with a counselor who can help you deal with some of your issues.

17. Paranoid is cool...
It worked for me a few times.

Ask yourself,

Do I have food? Do I have a warm dry safe place to sleep with no biting bugs? Am I healthy?

If yes to all three, you are doing very well!

With any luck, this will be a very fond memory someday, maybe twenty five years from now.

Now all you have to do is fall in love with a lot lizard at a truck stop and you'll have some burning hot stories to embarrass your great grankids with, in the year 2063.

They'll be saying, "You know, that great grandpa Carlos, he's lost some marbles, but give him a little wine and he's the centerpiece of all our Thanksgiving celebrations."

Peace be with you.

22. I mean,
you did not take them to the URL for DU, tell them your user name, and explain that you post here? Why would anyone do that?

YOu could always change your username?

3. If you are in Indy long enough to read this...
stop and take a look around. It's a good place.

Things to see and do:

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum - not only Indy cars, but alot of rare and collectible vehicles on display.

NCAA Hall of Champions - has a nice museum attached to it.

Indianapolis Zoo - a good zoo for a city this size.

Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western art - previously mentioned in a post above.

Children's Museum - largest children's museum in the U.S.

Indiana State Museum - recently finished. Pretty cool, I'm told...

The Canal (downtown) - as of right now, the weather is pretty nice. It has a nice atmosphere, and is adjacent to some of the above mentioned sites.

Most of these things are downtown, close enough even to walk to(with the exception of the Speedway). Nice way to pass the time.

Hope you enjoy your stay in Indy.
