3. Interesting....
The guy winking seems to be saying "we got that SOB" and LBJ looks like he's smiling and thinking "I knew you would". Scary.

7. Writers Aldous Huxley and C.S. Lewis also died on 11/22/63.
Ironically, the CIA and others assassinated Ngo Dinh Diem - the president of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) - three weeks and one day before JFK's assassination in Dallas.

8. Jackie looks absolutely devastated.
I cannot possibly imagine the depth of her pain in thay picture. In a larger sense, it was the day the spirit of America died....

Her husbands head literally exploded all over her just a short while before. I'm shocked she's able to stand upright. She looks utterly alone, why is there no one at least trying to console her?

That wink really bothers me. Who the hell would wink at someone while smiling at a time like that. This is just like that anecdote * and Laura told about the night of 9/11 where they went to bed smiling that night. It was 3 days before I even thought about cracking a smile.

12. She was a remarkable woman!
She was in such shock, yet so composed that she endured all the cameras in the same clothes, spattered with blood. There were pictures of her next to the hearse as they put JFK's body into Air Force One and there was blood all up and down her legs and lap.

When JFK was shot, she climbed out of the limo onto the trunk to retrieve part of his cranium that had landed there.....famous pictures.

Sad day. :(

13. There's this damn book
called "A Women Named Jackie" by some asshole that wrote basically Jackie was 'trying to escape' and that she was 'thinking only of herself'. Fucking liar! I had lunch with J. Randy Terabelli (he wrote "Call Her Miss Ross" and "The Kennedy Women") and I told him what a slap in the face I felt that was. His book treated Jackie, Ethel and Joan in very good light.

14. Umm, no, she was crawing out of the blood bath in the seat
in terror. She wanted to get away. She wrote that at least twice. She just knew she did not want to be in that seat anymore... the secret service pulled her back in the car as it went under the railroad trestle.
