I should have been an accounting major
Then I would have a better paying job and would have a greater range of companies that would want to employ me if I wanted to switch companies.
Most importantly, I would not have to deal with dangerous and potentially dangerous chemicals. Lately, I have gotten paranoid about some of it harming my health as I realized that I am unable to work under all the recommended safety recommendations for some of them. My company will not make this correction because it would require a large expense and take time. My boss is in his fifties and thinks that some safety recommendations go overboard and that I am safe. Today, I cleaned up a hazardous chemical spill that was reacting with something that may or may not produce a more hazardous chemical because I had to. I am not really sure if that was all that safe though.
At this job, I have also received an electrical shock, fumed out of my lab by things that were not my fault, slipped on a wet floor, and several not so minor cuts that luckily didn't require stitches.
Even though some companies might be safer, I really need to work in a safer field.
I have a BA in biology and almost 5 years in quality assurance in the food industry. All my other work experience has been short term and didn't require previous experience. Any ideas that don't require me going back to school. And no I am not teacher certified.
