Crud! I need help with seti@home!

Ott - whoever you are - I need to log into seti@home, and I'll be damned, I've tried all my email addresses, but none of them are the right ones. Looks like you should have access to all the DU seti@home member email addresses.

2. SETI had a server crash...

... around the end of October, and that one happened to contain the user database. They'd spent a couple of days trying to rebuild it from the backups, but if you cannot log on with your usual email address, then it's possible your info got trashed in the crash.

Are you still able to send results and receive new packets?

3. No, I can't do a thing

because I have to relog in, and I keep getting told that my email address is not recognized.

There's a possibility that I signed up with an email address I haven't used in years, which I don't remember, but I don't think so. I am quite sure I know what email address I signed up, but it tells me it's not valid.

I've looked all over the seti page to see if there is a way get info about myself, but I can't. I supposed I could just send an email to someone at seti, and see if they'll respond with an answer.

My username still shows up in the lists of people, and my profile is there, but it doesn't show my email.

It does say that the democraticunderground leader - Ott - has access to all our emails addresses.

... you have to log in again. At any rate, the SETI system is set up to prevent user abuse or harvesting of email addresses. Writing SETI will probably not generate an answer. In the FAQ, most of the questions relating to this sort of thing are inevitably answered by starting a new account.

But if you simply can't send and receive results, this might explain why and how to fix the problem. I had to do this about two weeks ago:
