and those scenes of those sneaky, rat bastard, Repukes plotting are really good.

5. It's wonderful to see how a real President behaves...
too bad it's on a TV show. I noticed they didn't show coming attractions for next week...does that mean it won't be on?:(

7. hmmmm..... night before Thanksgiving?
perhaps there's some fascinating special on... Hey wait, that wasn't when the Michael Jackson special was supposed to air, was it? I heard that it was cancelled (gee, good move), but don't know what network it was going to be on.

11. I have noticed on NBC lately, they aren't showing next weeks ads,
Instead they are showing clips from their other shows. Like I bet on Sunday night after American Dreams, they will advertise next weeks West Wing. They did the same on Sunday with AM.

POOR CBS - Now I feel bad for them :( Michael Jackson Show was to replace the Reagans. Sweeps week and nothing to put on.

6. I just bought the seasone-one DVD
Haven't watched it yet. I missed most of it while I was living in France. Although, French TV did start to air it as a la Maison Blanche later in the season (with the second channel in English). That's where I got hooked. I can't wait to sit down and watch the episodes sans interruption!

8. anyone remember when Nixon . . .
went to the Lincoln Memorial late one night and mingled with folks during the height of the anti-war protests? . . . not to commend Nixon or anything, but he had balls on that particular day . . .

10. Nah, gave up on the Post-Sorkin Era
The first couple of episodes this season were good. They made good use of the heavy emotional tone, and that compensated a bit for a lack of Sorkin dialog. But then the following episodes got clunky and less fun.

It's not the same without Sorkin. Sigh. The spark of witty repartee and high-browed sardonic humor is gone.

14. The last 2 episdoes have been back up to the old standard.
I hope it continues for the rest of the season.

12. I can't BELIEVE no one mentioned the Monica Lewinsky reference!!
That was hilarious--this is a nice take on the 1995 shutdown (which is when Monica made her entrance on the scene, if you recall).

Much, much better writing tonight. Glad to see Abbey back, too.

13. I didn't get to see it tonight.
I'll probably download it from the newsgroup when it's posted. Anyway, I'm very excited that this last couple of episodes have been more like the old WW. Hopefully it will stay that way.

15. The last two episodes have been a hopeful look at WW without
Aaron Sorkin. They have been the only episodes I've seen so far that have managed to replicate the Sorkin style without feeling forced. They've both been very good, comparatively speaking.

And the new intern? Whoa! Hubba-hubba! When she gave that over-the-shoulder, come-hither glance to Josh, I just about wet my pants! Man, they're in for trouble if the writers want to make her an Ur-Monica.
