Im I the only one that could care less about the new Jackson Scandal

The guy shoulda eather gotten Help or been put away years ago..It seems like year after year the press will bring his deformed face back into the public scandal spotlight. This time i think its nothing more than a diversion from Bush's horrible time in un-merry ol England and I could care less.
Dont get me wrong if true the man is a monster and he should be put away and throw away the key. But enven if not he still needs help and i pry to god that ill never see his ugly mug on my TV agian.

The "poor" guy's gone off the deep end, and now we're seeing more results of that...though this kind of thing took many years to develop, I'm convinced. A lot of the problems Michael is having now are quite deeply-rooted, and I just hope he can still get help...even if he has to do some time for this if it's true.

BUT...he, and this, are STILL weaaaaay over-hyped, and, unfortunately, stand to be even more so in the coming months. Just what Dub needed now that Iraq's a real quagmire, he's making an ass of himself overseas, and the economy's still sputtering, huh? :eyes:

8. I don't have a lot of interest in him BUT

this is an important subject to put out there every now and then. He's innocent until proven guilty. Everyone knows from his actions, words and looks that he is nuts, but who knows any of the details of this incident? I saw that the new victim has hired the same lawyer that the one a decade ago did - and we all know what happened there.

Just bringing to the surface occasionally the subject of child abuse is important. Whether this case is true or not will be decided down the road.

In the meantime, just try to keep it in perspective for what it is. Another one of thousands of possible abuse or neglect cases every year that come to light.

Save the children. Protect them from all harm. That includes harm from cutbacks to programs designed to help them get a good, healthy start in life.

This story may keep some from focusing on other news items of the day, but I believe most of us are capable of thinking about more than one story in a day or week or even an hour. It does create discussion, I hope, about putting more money into protecting our children, and giving them a decent chance to begin their lives.
