10 CC is the greatest band that ever existed. Discuss.
Stewart, Gouldman, Creme and Godley sought great topics and were extraordinary musicians. Their work before the breakup was astonishing and resonates to this day. Godley and Creme's separate work is possibly even better, and the pop oriented work of Stewart and Gouldman after the breakup deserved all the success it got.

After three decades, these songs still captivate.

2. Personally, I like Gouldman's work with Andrew Gold in Wax (or Wax U.K.)
Spectacular pop music there.

10. Gouldman also wrote "Bus Stop" when he was in the Hollies
He's written quite a few songs that resonate.

4. You're wrong.
It should be quite obvious that the greatest band ever was Quiet Riot.

5. I reject this.
It is more than quite obvious that the greatest band ever was Twisted Sister.

11. Not exactly your "heavy metal" persona, eh?
This is more like it -- even if they are a bit old in this pic :)

14. my first "metal" show was Black Sabbath/Quiet Riot
Sab's "Born Again" tour, featuring Ian Gillan of Deep Purple on vox and Bev Bevan of ELO on drums. I was 13 and it was wicked kewl.

18. Perhaps not the greatest, but one of the greatest underrated
I wish they had stayed together.........I've been plugging "Feel the benefit" for years here on DU as one of the top 10 rock songs of all time. That was post creme/godly.

"Speed Kills" pops into my head all the time--30 years later.
