This sucks! Two of my friends just got kicked out of my dorm! |
|
Now things are going to be unimaginably boring as well, since one of them was basically the life of the party and the coordinator of the events that led to the crazy shit we would get up to (which, of course, is why they kicked him out).
Anyhow, my bitch is that for one offense, which is something that they did not do themselves, but was done by people they had signed in, they're basically out on the streets for a week, since their lease on their apartment doesn't kick in until January and they don't go home until next week. The management are officially bastards; you don't get kicked out until three offenses: university policy, but this particular dorm is run by a private corporation.
Basically, they're so desperate to catch somebody doing something wrong that when they do, they pull the stick out of their collective ass and beat the allegedly guilty party with it!
:grr: :nuke:

2. You have responsibility for your guests |
|
If they signed somebody in who's causing shit, then they pay the consequences. They knew the rules, and now they're paying the price. That's how life works.

3. I get that. It's the one offense v. the requisite three that gets me. |
|
One is not three. One, two, three.

I got kicked out of my university entirely once.
I had to beg and grovel and jump through many hoops to get back in.
By a few small miracles, and a lot of hard work, I graduated.

5. Probably the only reason I'm still here is that during the incident, |

I got an eyeful of foam and was therefore in no condition to do anything but run up to my room to rinse out my eyes at which point I went to sleep.

I'd scour the housing agreement. There's usual an appeals process at universities.

I don't think they'd take the time. They haven't been kicked out of school, so after a week of hell, they should be on their feet again. It just sucks when cool people move out.

It happened to some friends of mine in college, during summer break. They ended up sleeping in the 24 hour undergrad library's study rooms and showered in the gym. I was out of town for the summer.
I hope your friends can find a silver lining. Dorm-life is like being babysat. Real parties happen off-campus. :)

9. Meh, they'll be fine. Everything's all right, I'm just bitching. |
|
Now I have to find more cool people to hang out with. :grr:
