Lately I've been kind of testy about crime issues, having been the victim of crime. I apologize for anyone I offended.

For those I verbally attacked I do regret saying it. In the heat of passions sometimes I forgot that there are actual people on the other end.

I do think the sniper deserves the death penalty, but I also acknowledge that there are compelling reasons to be against the death penalty.

The best grounding you can find is just to get a job. Trust me. The girl child is now working for 9$ an hour with no benefits with mentally disabled adults. I am proud of her maturity. She has applied for a graduate school. Well, we'll see how it works out.

If you can find a place you like that has a good measure of safety, settle in and find a job. Just be... for a while.

If it's politics that draws you, look at the smaller races. There are people who can use you, but you may need a day job to work for them.
