It just started this today. A low buzzing noise, like it's working too hard. Should I be worried?

5. It's forgotton the words?
Seriously, it could be the hard drive, a cooling fan, some dry solder in the sound 'card' or even the screen light (rare, but I've seen one that sounded like an old neon sign). Try mucking around with the power settings (turning off screen and drive after 5 mins) and see if it goes off: Also, plug in some headphones to check the sound. Failing that, when it stops buzzing and goes "pop", you should find out fast enough.

Either way, keep you data backed up...

6. My desktop has been doing that too--
and I NEED my computer. NEEEEEEEDDDDDDD it.

Someone told me that it just may be that I need to clean the fan, do some kind of dusting activity.

Let's hope that's what it is!
