3. I loved those folks!
just heard an old cut on the local alt radio... I knew it was them, very unique sound. Jangle pop, the DJ said, classic Mitch Easter sound. Wonderful!

I love that sound and always have! There is something about that region.

"I'm livin on a blue line..." :hi:

(much more fun than many bands from that time)

5.  I knew a guy once who had the idea to name his band
"The Mitch Easter Experience"

He was really into the jangle pop thing.

4. They're still around, sort of
Mitch and Eric are in a band with Mitch's wife Shalini. The tribute album that came out a couple years ago is quite good and worth seeking out

7. Well I still got a bone to pick w/ 'em.
we were gonna open for REM in a college bar early on (obviously) and about a week before date we got a call that Easter's band was coming along and doing the gig instead.

Then, day of the show, club owner calls and asks if we can make the 2+ hour drive up there b/c LA couldn't show (I forget the whole story.)

It was pre-cell phone days and drummer had a sales route, so no way to contact in time.

coulda, woulda, shoulda...
