Good Monday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Well, here we are at the start of another work week! This one, however, has Thanksgiving AND "Black Friday" in it. I can't believe the holidays are here already!

I hope all of you had a great weekend! :loveya:

1. Good Morning.
I'm on my way to bed as usual. Looking forward to a nice lazy long weekend coming up. A little work at home but in my jammies so it won't seem so bad. Moves, reading, food festival, quiet weekend.

I hope you have a lovely week and especially Thanksgiving.

3. Morning, Atomic!
:hi:
Thank you...I hope you have a great Thanksgiving also! Since I work in retail, I'm in for a VERY busy week. Well...a VERY busy MONTH!

2. Good morning Clint.
:hi:

How's you doing? I hope that all's merry and not too lonely in Tallahassee (spelling?).

No Thanksgiving over here (we're all grumpy sods), and dare I ask what "Black Friday" is?

5. Hello, TJ!!
:hi::hug::loveya:
I'm doing fine. Greekspeak is going to be gone longer than expected so I'm going to be alone for a while longer.

The day after Thanksgiving officially starts the holiday shopping season and is the busiest shopping day for most all retailers...hence...Black Friday (in retail circles).

Good to see you this morning, Dude!

7. Feel free to cry on my shoulder
Black Friday sounds pretty damn hideous (yet another self remnder never to work in retail :scared: ).

I have yet even to start thinking about Christmas - I suppose that I should get some cards soon. Then we have the 5 day long search round old diaries, little notes &c. to find folks' addresses - followed by e-mailing chums to get other chums' addresses from them.

I normally stay in London for a night or so in early December to do most shopping - always during the week, week-ends in London in December = the most painful experience which can be imagined.

8. Thank you, TJ!
Greekspeak was due to come home tomorrow. We found out yesterday he has a family emergency and so he's going to Missouri today instead of coming back to me tomorrow. So, that means he's going to be gone a while longer. I'll probably lean on my friends here on DU in the days to come. Thanks for being here, Man.

You should know that I'm always here if needed.

Moving onto more happy things - it's a gorgeous day here. Very chilly - but also clear and sunny - perfect winter's day. :D

It rained most of the day yesterday and we have some more on the way. But, the temps are warm so no winter here in Florida! :bounce:

Yep, here we are -- short week for many. My husband only works for two days this week and then he's home until Monday.

Got your turkey all ready?

14. Hello, Miss Arimens!
Well, I have been invited to my bosses house for Thanksgiving dinner, so...I don't have to make it for myself, thank goodness.

I have a full week ahead of me. Since I work in retail, this is going to be one of the busiest weeks we have.

Are you all ready for it?

21. Oh, lucky you!
... the dinner, I mean. Not sure I would want to work in retail this week. Do you like it being busy like that?

Thanks or the hug. Here's one for you ... I need lots of them today. My kitty, Satchmo, has to go in and get a dental today. I'm VERY nervous about it.:scared: He's my very special kitty.

24. I'm ALWAYS ready to give hugs, Miss Airmens.
And I sure do need them this week also! Our cat has to have a dental soon also. We've had him on diet food for over two years so he could tolerate the anesthesia. So, I know how you feel about THAT.

28. So you understand ...

Two of my kitties, including this one, almost died in May from Inflamatory Bowel Disease. Satchmo was scheduled for a dental in June, but he failed the blood test b/c he was dehydrated and it looked like renal failure. We switched them to a raw food diet and they're both doing GREAT now. They've gained back their weight and all the symptoms are gone. He's definitely in better shape to have the dental now, but it's still scary.

Yeah, I like it. The day fairly flys by. So that's a good thing. But, we have to move fast and THAT can get tiresome.

otherwise I would be alone. So I'm glad I don't have to be. I'll probably be spending most of the day here on DU except when I'm there eating. At least I don't have to go to the Circle K to get a honey bun for thanksgiving dinner.

36. Oh you're lucky!
I used to have to be there at 5:30 for a 6am open. And the line would be wrapped around the parking lot a couple times by the time I arrived. Ugh! I'd rather be on the register that day... on the floor I was being pulled in 30 different directions at once. At least on the register people were in and out, and I was usually given a key to make adjustments myself since I'd been there so long, so I could get people through my line in 30 seconds.

38. Yes, 7 isn't too bad.
5:30 would be OK for me though. We won't have a long line like that to get in. T.R.U. is a BIG shopping destination that day I'm sure.

And well, I'm outta here for now. Good to see you this morning, Miss Mutley!
