I think that I may have broken my FOOT! OUCH! |
|
No joke. I had to run back to the office to get some copies made for a workshop.When I left the building, and stepped onto the grass patch between the sidewalk and the curb, my foot slipped into a damned hole!
Apparently it was a grass covered water sprinkler with an accompanying shallow hole.
So now, three hours later, my ankle is just sore but the pain is pretty intense in the bottom of the foot and the outside edge.
The occasional step while walking is painful too.
OK, it's probably not broken but it HURTS!
My solution? Red, red, w(h)ine:toast:

The giveaway was pain is pretty intense in the bottom of the foot and the outside edge.
Each of my feet has been broken (same spot in each foot), and the pain was exactly as you described. Apparently there's a thin, fairly fragile bone that goes from your heel to the base of your small toe.
Both times the pain was non-trivial and putting any weight at all on the foot was excruciating. I'd suggest getting an x-ray just to be sure.

7. I'd say you're working with three digits! |

Fact is I broke a bone in the same foot back when I was 17 (18 years ago) and it felt the same way...
<sigh>
Hey! Maybe I should sue the city for damages due to the obscured spinkler head?! Oh...No...I work for the city...
Both feet for you? Damn...Having done it to one already I really DO feel your pain.
