Just once i would like to be the gun dungeon moderator. |
|
I should have signed up this time but i am still hanging on my last rejection. Ive been here for over a year. I think its time i became a mod in forum that has kept me coming back for over a year. Sure i think the democratic party vastly overlooks the gun owner as a voter. Sure i think gun grabbers have a lame opinion with nothing but some emotions to back up their claim. Sure i cant stand a couple of the regular posters in the gun dungeon. I would still be a fair mod and i doubt i would ban anyone except the obvious freeper since i dont believe in banning people just because they have a different opinion than i do. Anyway i am done venting. Hello new gun dungeon mods whoever you are, i havent checked yet.

I could delete all the posts by gun nuts, and you could delete all the posts by Democrats. (edited to add evil grin)

6. gun rights? what gun rights? |
|
There may be a "natural right" argument, who knows... but there is no Constitutional basis for private handgun ownership. None. The 2nd Amendment does not form the basis or foundation for private handgun ownership.
This is not an emotional argument. I have no stake in the handgun debate. But I do have a stake in the Bill of Rights, and the NRA has perverted the 2nd Amendment beyond the pale, often citing the arguments of the anti-federalists (those who opposed the ratification of the Constitution),to bolster their claims.
There's more, but this is why I stay out of the gun dungeon, because 99.9% of the people in there, pro or con, don't know what they're talking about. :)

8. So what are you saying? |
|
Handguns are not covered by the BOR but rifles and shotguns are? I thought that the second covered any weapon deamed usefull in military duties, like say a Colt 1911A1 pistol. Isnt that what was ultimatly decided in the Miller case?
