Poll question: HBO's Sex and the City
One of my newer roommates is addicted to this show. Why? I just don't know.

I've been subjected to it as the normal compromise that goes with any relationship, but if you're going to do a series like this, get better writers and characters that aren't cardboard stereotypes.

1. I adore the show
Outside the fact that my city is Wilmington and I am neither super skinny OR have the great wardrobe - I can so relate to those 4 gals when it comes to relationships. I wish they weren't cancelling. It sucked a little bit with Carrie's relationship with Berger (who broke up with her on a postit note), but it's gone way uphill since the breakup.

I'm going to miss that show!!!

2. I watch it with the wife.
She seems to like it. It's a bit too fluffy for my taste, but there's usually something in there for me - something that usually involves Samantha. Mmmmmmmm, Samantha!

4. I loved 'Dream On' and even '1st and Ten' was great too
I wish they'd show repeats of those shows on HBO; although they may not be able to with 1st & Ten since OJ was a cast member.

5. I love SITC too.
It is quirky, witty and I love the characters.
I like the fact that some men don't understand or like it too.
I love characters like Miranda, Mr Big, Stanton, Bunny, Steve,
Charlotte, Carrie and Samantha.
I like the fact that is about women enjoying sex, complicated relationships and the pit falls of dating in a big city.
It addresses the problems with finding the right man which are all too real and it is satirical about New York society too.
I will miss it too.

7. I loved the episode where Big was getting heart surgery
I almost thought Big and Carrie would get back together and live happily ever after - and they he got better and reminded us of why he's Big and why he's still bad for Carrie.

But I love Big anyways. He's so damn sexy!!!

6. Not as good as it was the first two seasons
I don't like the evolution of Carrie's character into an uptown girl. I miss Mr. Big-meow!

8. Don't women think the characters are shallow?
As a man, that was my first impression. I know that women are sexual creatures just like men, but it just seems like the women in SITC are controlled by their sexuality rather than liberated by it.

Still, a fun show to watch. And you don't have to ask me twice to look at Kristin Davis. (Shh! Don't tell my wife!)

9. I find them all to be silly, vapid, uninspiring characters!
The main reason for this show is to allow good looking women to talk about and indulge in sex....If that's your cup of tea then you'll like this show...I found it boring and after checking it out a few times (never was able to watch a complete episode) I skip it completely....Now don't get mad...I'm only stating my opinion...:D
