Maybe you've heard it already, so bear with me.....

A Californian, a Texan, and a Coloradoan were walking along the beach and spied a bronze lantern. They reached for it at the same time, and a Genie emerged in a mass of nonpolluting smoke. He told the lucky trio they could each have one wish apiece since they had touched and rubbed the lamp at the same time.

Thinking for a moment and the Californian answered decisively:

"I am so tired of my great state being victimized and polluted by the policies of the federal government, I wish that California was a separate country." "Done" said the Genie.


With furrowed brow the Texan exclaimed," I'm sick and dog tired of librul leaning folks coming into Texas and trying to ruin our great state. I'd like a wall, a big wall, a wall 300 feet high, built around our great state to protect it from incomers." "Done" said the Genie.

Well, the guy from Colorado brightened up and said, "Well, I guess there's only one thing to wish for. Fill Texas with water".

"Done", said the Genie.
