and very obscure hints at that, so I really doubt that the freeps would even be able to understand them!

Besides, even though I'm in my late thirties and a single parent, I live with my mom and stepdad, whose last name is different from mine and I'm not even in the phone book so it's a lot harder to find me. Besides, there really are people on here who use their real names as their screen names (paging Will Pitt, come in, please!). If they have the guts to do it and stand behind their beliefs and convictions, then more of us should as well.

but we have to be realistic and learn how to deal with people like that in real life anyway. We all know people like that and some of us are surrounded by them, and we can't hide behind screen names in real life. We have to learn to handle people like that and deal with them, because we're not often gonna have the luxury of hiding behind screen names.

from the information attached to my web site registration. I got about 30 or 40 pieces of hate email, and even though my phone number was posted to their site, nobody called. (now watch, I'll get ten calls this evening. :-)

What is interesting is that if you read their threads, there is a mixture of sane (if mis-guided from my point of view) and not so sane folks on the Free Republic site.

I actually think not all of them are as crazy as we tend to think, just as all of us are not as crazy as they tend to think.

On the other hand, they do have some nutso's, from what I can tell.
