I am on windows XP and I need advise |
|
I was playing with a friend and tried to start a web cam and now it won't go away. What can I do? Every time I try to go to my yahoo now it goes to this web cam. I have tried to delete everything it downloaded and even restore it to a previous time to this morning and it still comes back..can anyone help me get rid of this nusiance? ?????????

If you can get to the net, google on the web cam name and see if you get any hits. There may be instructions on how to delete.
The other thing is to go to norton's site and the have a online virus check and a lot of programs to get rid of them.

At least that's what I get from your post. If that is the case, it seems like the webcam is set to start up whenever Yahoo messenger is started. There should be on option in preferences or other similiarly labled option list about how the webcam is started (automatically or manually).

I had that problem with a logitech quickcam under windows 2000. The uninstall program would start, but go nowhere. Had to manually shut down the running processes associated with the webcam software before the uninstall would work.
